hi, I want to rent an RV for a weekend this november. (1st week of nov.) I need a Class B or C motorhome. It will be a rental for 2 or 3 days. We won’t be going out of state. How much should this cost me?

Thanks!
I'm going from Sheboygan to Madison. (about a 2 1/2 hour drive.

I have worked in construction all my life and never been 2 the doctor until I was tested in a free survey at a health RV. I eat well and I don't drink, but I do feel weak sometimes. The thing is I have a newborn and I want 2 b around to watch him grow up. I am on unemployment after getting laid-off and don't have much money. My savings are almost gone.

What kind of testing do you want? If you had an antibody test, the next thing you'll need is a PCR test, also called a viral load. About 20% of those who are exposed to HCV (positive or reactive to the antibody test) clear the virus through their own immune system. You need to see if you are one of those lucky ones. Without insurance, a PCR test is very expensive, and it's one you'll have to have periodically if you choose to do treatment. If you can get to a gastroenterologist, you can apply to the drug company to get free medication. I've only known two people out of over 60 that did not qualify for free meds because they are so expensive (25,000-30,000 for the one year treatment). I did the treatment 8 years ago and have been cleared of the virus since. There are also clinical trials that may help you by doing all these tests for free. I would recommend you get in touch with a local, in person support group in order to learn more about the disease and what your options are. Also, I've found that people who educate themselves tend to do better on treatment; they learn how to manage side effects, and they tend to adhere to the treatment better, thus giving the medication a better chance to do it's job. Where in FL are you? I run a support group in Pinellas county. Best wishes to you.

I Have bad credit du to my divorce, just stared a job, no place to live, me and my kids been staying in hotels. i just found a job in another town but they only have 1 hotel which is tooexpesive, i could pay back the loan within 4 month but since i dont have good credit and no bankaccount i am not having good luck. any suggesstions?

That's a tough question. Try looking into renting or "rent to own" for the RV. As soon as you can, get a credit card and pay for everything with it. Make sure you pay it in full every month. That will help a little in the long run.

I will make sure insurance is in place, but will the contract protect me from being legally responsible from anything they do?

As owner you are liable for the damages caused by the item owned. The only exception is if the item was stolen and you were not negligent in contributing to it being stolen (i.e. leaving a car running on the street with the doors unlocked may mean you are responsible should it be stolen and causes damages). If the person who rents the RV does not have the financial means to cover the damages done to other's property, no waiver, contract or paper will protect you from being sued (release of liability waivers are generally useless in court).
Normal insurance for an RV does not allow you to use the vehicle for compensation or hire. So if you were planning to use your regular insurance, forget it. Your claim will be denied faster than a Porsche on the Autobahn. Considering I once quoted a fleet policy for a small taxi company (five vehicles) and they could not make it work with five vehicles, I can't see how you renting only one vehicle can make it worth it with the proper insurance, unless you going to charge huge rates.

Absolutely.

As long as it is completely self contained (i.e. it contains sleeping, kitchen and bathroom facilities), you could also include boats.

But you can only deduct mortgage interest for up to 2 homes. If you have more than 2, you would have to determine which ones give you the bigger deduction.

Has anyone got involved in motorhome ownership as an investment? Mgmt company looks after virtually everything to do with renting out the RV for a 40% cut of the revenues. Insurance is up to the owner.

Now is probably not a very good time for this undertaking. People are really scared about fuel costs.

If you are upside down in an RV, you need to call an ambulance. You are in trouble. Loan is the last thing that enters my mind if I am on the side of the road upside down in my RV. Lol.

The company has to be in california

If you look at their site, California Baja Rent-a-Car says they do RV rentals… although I couldn't find rates or descriptions for any RV rentals on their price sheets. Still, it would be worth giving them a call! Also, don't forget that you will need the Mexican insurance on any kind of vehicle you take into Mexico since our US insurance doesn't cover people driving in Mexico. California Baja recommends MexAdventure - we use Baja Bound.Com… they're all good. Have fun!
