i bought a luxurious 36ft RV for about 28k and i need out of this loan the payments are becoming unbarable…your probably gonna ask why did i buy the rv in the first place?? well i was going to live in it and travel the world but with the bad econmy thats not possible plus i might loose my job!! what can i do to get out of this loan??? i dont want to reuin my credit..my credit is soo good i already had some dings that took me two years to fix and pay off i dont want to reuin my credit ..im so upset at myself for buying this rv…its been about year or so with it and i bought it when the prices for rvs were so good and the economy wasnt bad so now im just worried andi need out!!! what are my options?? 10points to best answer

Call the lender and try to negotiate some different terms. That's what the TARP money and bailouts are supposed to be for. They don't want to reposses an RV, believe me. You might be surprised. Good luck.

i bought a nice rv about year ago and its done more harm then good to us because of the monthly payments and upkeep of it i got myself in trouble by buying it..im only 24 been married 5 years we love camping and traveling and we lived in it for 2 months so we got reason to have one but im really worried about the economy and dont want get bad credit if something bad happens or we loose jobs or something..i have good credit right now i dont want mess it up..we had to buy a car too because our old one broke down so i have lots debt but the biggest one is the rv and i want out of it..any tips? i know worse case we could live in the rv if we losted jobs but the montly dues is almost as much as a apt please make me feel better about having this rv…i love it we use it alot its just im worried grrr
WE PAY 400 MONTH FOR THE LOAN OF THE RV AND A RV SPOT WOULD COST NO LESS THEN 400 SO ITS ABOUT AS MUCH AS A APT BUT WITH NO AS MUCH SPACE AND I HAVE KIDS SO ITS HARD

If you are trying to sale it list one of the options as " can also take over payment with credit approval".

About 6 months ago I lent my landlord "friend" 22 thousand dollars to help her pay her mortgage. She was in deep dept and was going to lose her house. I was also living there at the time, in one of her rooms she was renting out.

She promised to pay me back by refinancing after I lent her the money, or by getting a loan from the bank. It turned out that she was not able to get the loan, or refinance. And was not able to pay me back. She is now paying me whatever money she can get from her tenants that live in her house now that she rents out. She sleeps in her RV in her backyard and has no other job. One of her other tenants that lived in her guest house failed to pay her and owed her 4 thousand dollars. She had to evict them, and got no money from them. And therefore nothing to give me.

She is 53 years old. I am 27. I just want back my 20 thousand dollars. I live in WA state and just moved here a year ago. I don't know the laws here. And I don't know what to do.

I am currently living in her cottage house but am considering moving back to NY where I came from, a year ago. However I don't want to leave without getting this resolved. She wants to pay me through mail when I move but that is not good enough for me. I have no money because she has it all.

What should I do? Since I can't even afford a lawyer. We did not make any contracts when I loaned her my money. We were friends and I trusted her.

You should get a lawyer. It would be of your best interest and money well spent! That doesn't mean you have to sue her- maybe you can reach some kind of agreement with this "friend". She owns properies and maybe that can be a tool for you. 20 grand is a lot of money and I think you have learned a big lesson here. Good luck.

What a great friend you are to help out another. Since you didn't get a contract written up, I strongly suggest getting her to commit to signing something. If you cannot afford an attorney, you can certainly file a lawsuit against her for the money owed. You would need to file in superior court in Washington state. I have the money to buy more propane now, but I do *not* have the money to buy a whole conversion kit to make it so I can attach a portable tank to my RV. It is my only place of living and it is still very cold here, plus I can't cook or have hot water without it (and electric heaters don't cut it; not even close!)
I'm a bit panicked here. I have 1/4 tank left which will not last long and I have called every single company in the phone book. Nobody delivers to RVs now because the tanks attached to them are too small for them to make profit with the damned gas prices!
These can't be my only options. Where else can I look? Conversion kits cost upwards of $150, which I will not have before this runs out, plus I will have to pay someone to install it for me and then the actual tank is $40, if I want the smallest one which will have me driving to refill it once or twice a week.
I work two jobs, and have applied for cash assistance, but I can't get a big enough loan for it either. Help!

I had this problem in AZ… I'm not sure why you need a conversion…I was able to hook a small tank to my hookup when I couldn't afford to have my huge tank filled, which was often when it was just me and my kids.
Have a trusted neighbor guy look at your set up and determine if you can do it that way.

I know you can't get 100+% back on remodel projects most of the time, but I want to know which of the projects I list will give our home value the biggest "boost". We have about $20k to put into our projects, but after that we will need to get a home equity loan, and right now we have little to no equity. Here are the choices:
1. All new energy efficient windows
2. New kitchen countertops, cabinets, sink, fixtures (our appliances are already SS)
3. Turn our screen porch into a sunroom (will add 400 sq. ft.)
4. New RV/boat carport
5. Finish partially built detached garage (its about 75% finished, just need to finish drywall, re-finish ceiling, and add garage door)

Typically, kitchen & bathroom projects yield the most return on investment. The sunroom also sounds like it would be valuable.

ok this little debate is between myself and an older cousin.
first off you have to know that we have total different perspectives. for one she prefers the city because she needs cable, contract phones, city water and sewer and she wants to buy a stick built home later. while i not only prefer the country i need it. all i need is satelite, prepaid phones, well and septic. and i am planning to buy a modular home of my design later on.

her idea - she has been moving on from apartment to apartment and has finally saved some money to get a loan so she can purchase 1/2 an acre of land. she has only saved enough to buy a mobile home that would later be moved to the land. it is not really in the city but its not in the country either. it is a piece of land that is able to have utilities and city water/sewer hooked up. she plans on living in the mobile home for some time and later selling the mobile home with the land and then stepping into yet another loan to get a stick built and a mortgage. thing is she plans on getting a profit. she has also not yet decided on whether she will get a new or used but is leaning towards new. (28 yrs.)

my plan - i have actually saved up $100,000 cash and have a 50 acre piece of land that cost $45,000 that i am about to close on. it is out in the boonies of the country. i am also going to set up a well and septic and will later be purchasing an outside bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) building that has a well and septic setup.(for water and waste) the reason i am going to purchase the building is so i will have a bathroom because i have recently found a travel trailer that i am interested in. it has a bathroom but i really don't want to dump and fill the tanks unless neccesary that way i don't get in trouble for hooking it to well and septic.the bathroom in the trailer will however be used for emergencies and winter. i am also going to get a generator for power and rv satelite. the trailer will probably be used unless i have enough money(cash) left for a new one. also i want to make it private property but i dont know how to go about doing that. (18 yrs.)

so who do you think will save the most money in the long run and who do you think has the better idea. just give your total and completly honest answers. (also don't just say mine is better because you think you will get the best answer.) the person who gets best answer will be the one who makes and opinion and actually explains it by pointing out the pros and cons.
first off i am not lazy because if don't ask their won't be anything to research. also i wasn't even going to ask it on here but i can't sleep and i needed something to make time pass.
you don't have to point out a whole lot i just want to know like 1 or 2 reasons why you think what person is better off.
as for how i saved it up i have saved like every one of my paychecks and my parents had started a college fund for me and i started adding my paychecks to it and thats what i ended up with. thing is i got a scholorship where i dont have to go to college for 3 years before it runs out so now i dont really need the money for college. so, yea

How on earth did you save up 100,000 at 18? Nice.

your question is too long and if i have to analyse it like an assignment and point out the pros and cons all for 10 points that it's not worth it, too long. But from what i have briefly read it sound like you are better off.

I don't know what to tell ya bro, it sounds like you will have to buy the conversion kit somehow. I do not live in an RV but I do realize that gas prices are through the roof right now and most of us are struggling at the gas pumps along with ya, I fill up my tank every week just to get back and forth to work, and basic shopping/driving and it costs me round $300/month just for gas and I don't make but 300/wk so they basically keep one of my checks just for gas. It sucks man it really does, you may have to borrow some money from cash advance (title loan/check advance), here ya borrow 275 and pay back 305 in a month which sucks but it's what I've had to do several times in the past couple years when I don't have enough money to put gas in my truck to get to work.

Lets say you are wanting to finance an RV. Would it be easier to obtain a loan through the credit union you belong to or the lender associated with the dealer?

You should compare what your credit union will offer versus the dealer.
Keep in mind that the dealer may shop around for rates, resulting in MULTIPLE inquiries on your credit report.
If you have a good history with your credit union, I suspect that not only would they be easier, but they would also give you a better deal.

We bought some land in a trailer home community(1 acre and 2 acre lots) and put our mobile home on it. There were restricitons such as no more than 4 animals, no RV's used as homes, only one home per lot, has to have a deck..things that should not be that hard to follow, right?WRONG
They changed owners and it is unreal what they are moving out here. There are lots of lots with only RV's which means the RV's are the primary residences which is against the rules. The peeople behind me have 20 animals. Neighbors across have 4 RV's and 4 cars with weeds growing all around.
Then I wake up this morning to guineas walking around my yard.(birds)
We are selling our house and probably going to lose ALOT of money because of this. We are following every single rule.
what can we do>?

We have the restriciton papers with our loan papers BUT the owners of the unsold land lots have now changed and the papers are not signed by anyone. It is just a sheet that says Restrictions
Forgot to add….it is outside of city limits.

First, you need to find out if the restrictions were recorded in the county courthouse. If they were, they may be enforcable by the lot owners, such as you, because they are for the benefit of all lot owners, and all owners are supposed to be subject to them.

You will need to consult an attorney to determine the following:

1. Whether the restrictions you were given are valid and, if so, whether you can enforce these restrictions against every lot owner/occupant in the community; or

2. If the restrictions are not enforcable, whether you can sue the people that you bought the lot from for misrepresenting the facts, though that may be a tough one, because anyone could have verified whether the restrictions were put on record for the whole community and whether they were valid, prior to going to closing.

Any remedy you have available regarding the restrictions will require court action to enforce. BUT, if the township or municipality where the property is located has a Zoning Ordinance, it is likely that many of these things you mention going on are violations of the ordinance, and you can get the local Zoning Officer to enforce the ordinance.
